- All your portfolio data is stored locally on your device only.
- No account or sign-up is ever required.
- We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to third parties.
- Stock prices are fetched anonymously from Yahoo Finance.
Information We Do Not Collect
SharePocket is designed from the ground up to be privacy-first. We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Your portfolio holdings, transactions, or financial data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Usage analytics or crash reports linked to your identity
Data Storage
All data you enter into SharePocket — including portfolio holdings, transactions, dividends, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use Apple's iCloud backup feature, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
💡 Tip: You can delete all app data at any time by removing SharePocket from your device. No server-side deletion is necessary because nothing is stored remotely.
Stock Price Data
SharePocket fetches real-time and historical stock price data from Yahoo Finance's public API. These requests:
- Are made directly from your device to Yahoo Finance servers
- Contain only the ticker symbols you have added (e.g.
CBA.AX) - Do not include any personal information or account identifiers
- Are subject to Yahoo's Privacy Policy
In-App Purchases
SharePocket offers optional Pro subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase records are managed through Apple's StoreKit framework on your device.
Third-Party Services
SharePocket does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or social media SDKs. The only external service used is the Yahoo Finance API for market data, as described above.
Children's Privacy
SharePocket does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. As no personal data is collected from any user, the app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via an in-app message.
Continued use of SharePocket after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
